THE VISION OF MISSIO SANCTA
Missio Sancta is an itinerant workshop initiative of the Dominican Sisters of Mary Immaculate Province. This unique program focuses on re-introducing the truth that every person has been remarkably created by God and given a special mission to fulfill. Through a genuine discovery of the singular, unique, and unrepeatable grace that God has bestowed on each person individually, we hope that each person will gain a strong conviction of their irreplaceable role in the world and within the Church.
WHY CHOOSE MISSIO SANCTA?
Led by a Personal Vocation Mentor and through the use of a narrative-based assessment that is rooted in faith and substantiated by science, participants will explore their life’s organizing principle – their personal motivational blueprint that reveals how they are personally called to live authentically, intentionally, and joyfully. Each person will receive a personalized report, which will be used to help individuals identify their specific God-given gifts and potential that no one else can replicate. Each person reflects a distinct dimension of God and are called to be this image in the world by fully embracing the masterpiece God created them to be. Thus, they can truly be who God meant them to be so that they can set the world afire for the glory of God and love of souls (St. Catherine of Siena).WHO DO WE SERVE?
Missio Sancta endeavors to help the young, growing Vietnamese Church come to a profound awareness of the gift that they each are to the Church and to the world. Acknowledging the instrumental role they have in and through their involvement in their local parishes, the program will primarily focus on serving Vietnamese youth groups, young adult groups, and catechists.
HOW WILL THE PROGRAM RUN?
The workshop will generally include seminars, personal reflection time, individual assessments, small group sharing, and facilitations on how to interpret and incorporate assessment outcomes. Depending on the needs and available time-frames of each group, the program can be catered accordingly. For example:
* Weekend retreat (Friday to Sunday) *** Ideal ***
* 1 full day (Saturday/Sunday: 9am-2pm)
* 1.5 days (Friday: 6-8pm & Saturday: 9am-12pm)
* 2 consecutive weekday nights (6-8pm)
WHAT ARE THE COSTS?
With hopes that we can make this a living reality for your parish, Missio Sancta is pro bono. We simply ask that your parish kindly assist us in covering 1) transportation & accommodation for two sisters and 2) session materials (budget-friendly activity items & the assessment cost of $5 per participant (originally $20)).
